Hello lo to all who take the time to read this. My name is Cathy Perry. I am a mom, wife, full time employee, blogger, and life enthusiast. (Picture to come later. I am not a fan of my own selfies.) Above all of this, I am a Christian. I believe in Jesus Christ who has shaped my life in big and small ways. With His grace, forgiveness, and constant love and guidance, I keep growing. I started this blog because I wanted an outlet to share things that I have learned along the way. Life has taught me so much and I want to share these lessons for the benefit of anyone they may help.
“What does this have to do with communication?” you ask. Much. One of the biggest things I have learned in my life quest is how vital communication is to EVERYTHING we do! How we get along with our spouse, children, families, coworkers, etc. It is all about how we communicate. But the essence of good communication goes to the core of who we are. And this is where the blog begins.
I have been working on this blog for some time and have gone many routes as to how to best approach the content. I hold a Master’s degree in Industrial / Organizational Psychology, a Bachelor’s in Psychology and an Associate’s in Business Management. That being said, I am used to putting together scholarly papers that are well researched and properly cited, of course using A.P.A. guidelines. I have spent a great deal of time going back and forth on how scholarly this blog will be, and probably over complicating it too. While I do feel that there are times this will be necessary, I decided to begin by just speaking from the heart. Please forgive my back and forth style as you read through but, hey… that’s me. I’m a scholar at times, and not in others. But the blog will always be honest.
For those who have churches that you are at home in, I am very happy for you. For those, who have small groups, bible studies, and fellowship on a regular basis, you are truly blessed. This blog is for you and for people like my kids. Young adults who have grown up with an understanding of Christ but are struggling to figure out who He is, how He applies to this crazy life we all live, is He really real? What does this have to do with communication? For those who don’t know anything about Him at all… I am talking to my fellow people who can benefit from this information, for all of us. I will continue to grow along this journey and continue sharing.
Thank you for your time and for reading. I hope the information is helpful and welcome feedback and comments. While this is geared toward adults, please keep it friendly.
Your friend in Christ,
Cathy
